This course is designed to address common safety concerns that landscapers encounter on a daily basis regarding electrical hazards. Electrical sources are all around us, and our goal at Expert Tree Academy is to prepare workers to identify electrical hazards and develop safe work plans in the field.

Jarraff Operations is a 5-day specialty course created in collaboration with Prinoth (Jarraff) to provide a foundation for effective equipment use as a vegetation management tool for utility line clearance. This course equips students with the hands-on skills and qualifications necessary to fill in-demand production roles by providing a working knowledge of operations, limitations, safety, maintenance, and line clearance.
Hands-on operations in this course will include Jarraff operations, line clearance, and vertical mulcher operations.
Students will earn a Line Clearance certification, valid for one year from the date of completion.

A minimum number of students is required for this class.

You do not need to be an ISA-certified arborist to take this course. However, if you are ISA-certified, it is approved by the ISA for 40 CEs.
A minimum number of students is required for this class.

Successful completion of this 24-hour course satisfies OSHA and ANSI electrical safety training requirements for students. This line clearance course is designed for employees working in close proximity to energized wires. When conducted on campus, it provides students with hands-on experience in pruning and rigging around conductors using an aerial lift and mock power lines.
