This is a four day in person course
Successful completion of this this course satisfies OSHA & ANSI electrical safety training requirement for arborist. This line clearance course is designed for those working in close proximity to energized wires, and when conducted on campus provides arborist training with experience pruning and rigging around conductors utilizing an aerial lift and mock power lines.

In this comprehensive chainsaw safety course, arborists will gain the knowledge & skills necessary to maintain / operate a chainsaw safely and apply methods of precision tree felling in a controlled learning environment. An integral part of this course focuses on forces including leverage, tension, compression and the implementation of mechanical advantage in felling operations.

This is a Three day in person course
This course is designed to provide arborist with a comprehensive understanding of the forces applied during rigging operations and the tools & techniques necessary to perform rigging safely and effectively. An integral part of this course focuses on the concepts of positive and negative rigging, span rigging, zip lining, upward rigging and double block rigging.

This course provides arborists a foundation for the capabilities and limitations for the safe and efficient operation of aerial lifts to include inspection, setup, work configuration and emergency procedures.

This course is designed specifically for individuals without a medical background who want to build confidence in emergency situations. You learn advanced first aid, management of medical and trauma injuries, and know what type of first aid supplies you should have on hand

This course provides students a foundation for safe chipper use addressing the different types of chippers, inspection, setup, personal protective equipment, work positioning and maintenance.

This course addresses the most common rescue scenarios and how to effectively respond to each satisfying annual aerial rescue training requirements. Topics include canopy rescue, spar rescue, bucket rescue and self-rescue from a bucket also known as bucket bailout.

Power Ascenders are a relatively new innovation that has the potential to make at height work safer, easier and more efficient. This course is a hands-on field exercise that addresses the critical components of power ascender use including inspection and safety, line setting and installation, ascending and descending, navigating obstacles and transitioning in the canopy.

This course is a hands-on practical designed to offer an advanced level of application by combining the standard power ascender course with the addition of “power ascenders in a rescue scenario” and “power ascender use in mechanical advantage”.

This course is designed to provide the foundation for entry level climbers by affording the skills necessary to safely and effectively work in trees. Topics to include knots specific to climbing, basic climbing systems, climbing gear and inspection, methods of ascent and descent and work positioning.

This is a four 10 hour/day in person course
This course is designed to demonstrate the use and practicality of advanced climbing techniques by affording the skills necessary to safely and effectively work in trees. Topics to include advanced climbing systems, basal and canopy anchors, the use of mechanical friction devices and ascenders, advanced methods of ascent and work positioning.
